SANTA BARBARA – A Great Place for a Weekend Home… But I Bet You’ll Never Leave

Again I’m going to take things a bit out of Los Angeles proper today, and we’re going to look at a place many Angelenos love to escape to for weekend getaways. For the rather comfortable Angeleno, this might even be a fine place to buy a little condo for a weekend getaway. But before long I’ll wager you just stay there…
Here’s a bit of history and info on lovely Santa Barbara and then a few links to homes. Not… not cheap. But very nice! Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and …

To Live and Love (Art) in Los Angeles

Many people hold New York to be the art capital of America and, in many respects, that is a fair title. Nowhere else in this country is there such a concentration of museums, galleries, venues for symphonies, lavish stage productions, tiny little black box theaters that house 15-person audiences, etc. It is, what you might call, a hotbed of the arts.
But so is L.A. It just doesn’t seem that way because whereas NY has concentration of culture, we tend to spread it out. Across dozens of miles. That’s what we …

BEVERLY HILLS, CA

I rooted out a few homes in tony Beverly Hills for all you nice people a little while back, but it occurred to me that a city of this renown and stature deserved a much more comprehensive write up, so here it is! Melrose Avenue: Where “hip” would hang out if it were alive rather than an adjective

When someone says “Melrose Avenue” you may flash back to a little show from a little decade. Meaning, of course, Melrose Place and The 90s. That is not at all the kind of place we are talking about today. Melrose Avenue is a vibrant, exciting mix of gritty city streets and haute couture boutiques. …

ECHO PARK, Los Angeles, CA

Let’s try something different today… rather than tell you about a few condos available in an area and then giving you a quick sketch of said area, I’m going to give a more detailed portrait of a region of Los Angeles. If you think it sounds hip, then hit up your friendly neighborhood search engine (read: Google) and use these terms: echo park condo los angeles – the first three hits you’ll get should be more than enough to start your home hunting journey. Now, to the 4-1-1!

Echo Park is …

An L.A Evening with Class

A little while back I wrote an article titled “An L.A. Weekend on the Cheap” (or something very close to that) and it seemed to get a good response. It occurred to me that perhaps it would be called for to do the opposite, as well. Because hey, sometimes you want to spoil yourself. And plus you would get bored if we talked about Los Angeles condos all the time. You need something to do around this town once you’ve already found that lovely Los Angeles condominium.
So, if high price …
